Mark your calendars for the 2010 Spirit West Coast festivals. Del Mar - May 28-30 and Monterey - July 1-3, 2010. Check back in early December for basic information including lineup, early-bird prices, and more.
Ammunition Conference
Youth leaders and youth pastors – Did you know that within the large SWC festival experience is a fully functioning YOUTH CAMP called the Ammunition Conference? The Ammo Conference is 3 days of spiritually high-powered programming, organized by 8-10 churches from Modesto and the Central Valley. Each year approximately 500 youth come together for this mini youth camp taking place right onsite at SWC. The Ammo Conference includes meals, just like a regular youth camp would, and Ammo camp registrants have access to the complete, incredible festival programming.
Tired of the same old youth camp humdrum? Do youth camp with tobyMac, Family Force 5, Hawk Nelson, David Crowder, Jeremy Camp and others. For more info about the Ammunition Conference to go www.ammunitionconference.com

Get ready for SWC 2010!
The annual Northern/Central California Spirit West Coast festival takes place at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area (Monterey) on July 1 - July 3. Most of the artists appearing at the Del Mar festival also appear in Monterey, but there are always some who appear just at one or the other. It's common to find people to attend both festivals, and fans agree that the summer Monterey event is a very different experience from the Del Mar spring event. The festivals do have many core things in common: multiple stages, dozens of artists, great teaching, camping, children's activities and ministry, all in a resort vacation area setting. Although each event does have its own nuances and character, they both share the common purpose of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and celebrating faith in Him.

Appearing at SWC - Monterey
The BIG NEWS for the 2009 Festival is the RETURN of many favorite artists who were not at the 2008 Festival. Headliners confirmed for the thirteenth annual event include: Mercy Me, tobyMac, Jeremy Camp and David Crowder – and 3 out of these 4 artists were not at the 2008 festival. Also appearing in Monterey for the first time ever is Brandon Heath, who had the # 1 song in the country for the last few months of 2008, Give Me Your Eyes – a strong candidate for 2008’s song of the year. The list of other top acts appearing in 2009 include Kutless, Needtobreathe, BarlowGirl, Leeland and Matthew West. Rock favorites who were not at the 2008 fest include Hawk Nelson, Disciple and Family Force 5, with the hot new band Flatfoot 56 (bag pipes in a rock band?) making their SWC debut. Other bands scheduled to appear are Stellar Kart and Ruth and newcomer The Wedding. Spirit West Coast always presents a mix of established favorites and new artists, and 2009 will be no different. As the lineup continues to be announced, keep your eyes open for new names that are “the future” and “the now” of Christian music.
